چکیده
This study presents environmentally friendly and low-cost synthetic routes to produce antimicrobial coatings over 5052 Al alloy based on plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) technology. Two methodologies were explored: the decoration with copper anodic doping ions. The porous oxide layers produced in silicate media presented two consisting of γ-Al2O3 crystalline phase amorphous phases aluminosilicate, silica, Al(OH)3. Small amounts (<0.3 at.%) detected PEO films. In Cu-decorated film, clusters composed Cu0 Cu2+ species observed visually as small black dots surface. Cu-doped Cu+ homogeneously distributed content affected corrosion performance aggressive corrosive media. showed a remarkable activity after 24 h standard tests. effectiveness sample was higher against S. aureus, while more effective E. coli. results demonstrated that differences coating architecture can affect material composition and, consequently, bacterial inactivation mechanism. These findings serve guide tailor aluminum alloys for specific surfaces.

Lightweight metals, e.g. aluminum (Al), magnesium (Mg), titanium (Ti) and their alloys are of great importance for applications in various machinery and transportation system, espe‐ cially in aerospace and automobile products due to their high strength-to-weight ratio and superior physical and chemical performances. However, their poor tribological properties, such as low wear resistance, high ...
متن کاملInvestigation of the effect of electrolyte on acoustical behaviour of ceramic coatings produced by method Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation (PEO) on titanium
In this paper, titanium oxide coating (TiO2) was produced on titanium alloy Ti6Al4V by Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation (PEO) Method. Sodium Silicate (Na2SiO3) and Sodium Aluminate (NaAlO2) based electrolytes were selected in PEO process. The effects of concentration of Sodium Aluminate (0, 2.5, 5, 7.5, and 10 g/L) on the microstructure and acoustical behaviour of the formed coatings were studied....
